About Medical Services
Medical Services provides consumers with diagnostic assessments and evaluations, education regarding mental illness and medication issues, medication management, drug and alcohol screenings, prescriptions, medication administration, injections, lab work, consultations with other members of multi-disciplinary team, consultation and referral to outside health care providers and staff and community training. Medical Services also provides consultation to District 19 Substance Abuse Services and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Services. Services are provided by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, CPhTs and psychiatrists/ NPs.
Medication Management
Medication management is an important component of consumer
care. Medication management improves the quality of care by:
-Reducing practice variation, errors, and misuse
-Monitoring medication management processes with regard to
efficiency, quality, and safety
