Position Title: Nurse (RN) |
District 19 CSB located in Historic Old Town Petersburg is seeking an experienced nurse for an intensive community treatment team. The position will provide clinical psychiatric nursing duties with a focus on assertive hospital diversion and community reintegration as a part of a mobile PACT-model treatment team, and may carry a small caseload (2-3 cases) as a primary clinician. Essential job duties are provision of ICT services to include: nursing assessments; auditing of physician’s orders; ordering, storage and disposal of medication according to legal requirements; medical equipment maintenance and supply ordering; phlebotomy services and; administration/delivery of oral and intra-muscular medications under the direction and orders of the team psychiatrist; assessment, supportive counseling; outreach and home visits; education; crisis intervention/prescreening; hospital diversion; community reintegration, and; medication management services. Approximately 75% of team services are provided in the community. Successful applicant must have: VA nurse registration (RN); valid VA driver’s license with acceptable driving record; basic computer skills and ability to work as member of a multidisciplinary team.
